After looking back on our prelim task, we decided that it was too dark and not up to our standards. We went back to imove and looked back at it again and released that our lip sync in the first clip, wasn't in time. This is resulting in the singing itself, not being in time. We chose the song Diamonds by Rihanna as we think it links to our genre very well. It was suitable to film on just a green screen. We chose a section from the music video that was striaghtforward to film without using lots of different locations. Filming was simple but when it came to the editing process we had to overcome some problems, one main thing being the decided backgrounnd set that we wanted. When we decided what background to use, we originally wanted an empty dark room, but we later realised that the height the photo was taken from was at a higher angle than our height from filming. We over came this by experimenting with plain backgrounds which worked better than trying to create a set. We chose the black background as it suited the mood and style of the original music video. If we could do this again, we would improve the mise en scene to mirror the original music video which can give us more practice for our main coursework project.
